Earth Day

Okay, well I planned for Austin & I to go to an Earth Day celebration in the park today. And, of course to bring my camera for this but, naturally I am all but totally retarded and forgot- hmmm. big surprise there.. 

We checked out some solar powered cars, organic food & drink, a pretty good band, a stop to the playground to have an absolutely fascinating time with a 'stink bug' whatever that is ?, of course Austin knows-i guess when you step on it & squish it it stinks..? Is that a southern thing..?? and, a tent of crafts for kids with face painting and other things to do from decorating your own pine cones to planting your own herbs to grow (thats what's in the cup.) It really was a beautiful day for it. So, although I didn't take the camera with us per say.. here's a bit of our day anyways.

Stickie

We got started a bit late on our walk this evening-probably really when we should have been getting ready for bed so unfortunately it had to be a bit short. We made sure to bring our favorite friend "Stickie" with us as he is useful for many things-stickie maneuvers, japanese martial arts, an axe, a scythe and, tonight's choice an old man's cane. .. 

- "Back in my day, there was no old-fashioned cuz everything back then was new.

- " When I was younger the leaves were a lot greener and the sky was a lot bluer and we didn't have these things here like these sticks-we had to use wheelchairs! 

- "Back then we didn't go buy our food-we had to grow it!

- " You people these days need to respect us older people-technology these days... (grumble, grumble)

I wish I could remember them all..i think there was some reference to allll the way back in the 1970s too..  Sheesh.  Thanx Austin.
